New England Motor Press Association (NEMPA) names Jeep Grand Cherokee “Official Winter Vehicle of New England.” NEMPA is made up of members from all of the six New England states.
“During one of the toughest New England winters on record, it handled everything Mother Nature could put in its way,” said John Paul, NEMPA Winter Vehicle Awards team leader. He also praised the Grand Cherokee as “quiet, luxurious and comfortable.”
Some of the Grand Cherokee’s features are:
- A torque-on-demand two-speed transfer case
- Three available 4X4 systems
- The new Jeep Selec-Terrain setup with five driver-selectable terrain settings
- An advanced Quadra-Lift air suspension
- The Chrysler Group’s Uconnect in-car entertainment and connectivity system
- Jeep’s CommandView dual-pane sunroof
- An all-new world-class interior with more passenger and cargo room
- Better fuel efficiency (now up to 23 mpg highway)
