The Chrysler Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Chrysler Group LLC, will donate $100,000 to relief to the American Red Cross for Japan disaster relief efforts. In addition, the Foundation will match any employee contributions up to an additional $100,000.

Chrysler has joined other automakers, including BMW, GM, and Daimler AG, in lending a helping hand to those affected by the devastating earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan this month.

“Our hearts go out to the people of Japan,” Jody Trapasso, President – The Chrysler Foundation said. “We are confident that Chrysler employees, contractors and dealers will once again respond to help others in need, which is why the Foundation will also match their generous contributions.”

For those interested in making a contribution to the relief efforts, visit the American Red Cross website now.
