The Chrysler Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Chrysler Group LLC, will donate $100,000 to relief to the American Red Cross for Japan disaster relief efforts. Jeep’s venerable Liberty will be revamped for the 2012 model year according to the latest reports. This new model will follow in the footsteps of other Chrysler products that were recently revamped, including the Dodge Durango and Charger, the Chrysler 300, and Jeep Grand Cherokee. Chrysler has unveiled a new cargo van based on the Dodge Grand Caravan minivan. The 2012 Ram Cargo Van, or C/V, was announced at the National Truck Equipment Association trade show in Indianapolis and will go on sale later this year. The 2012 Ram Cargo C/V is powered by a new 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine that is mated to a smooth-shifting six-speed automatic transmission. The engine produces 283 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque.
